I was super excited because I did her makeup for the shoot. I've done countless magazine covers with Jennifer as well as others however, you always get a little anxious to see if your pleased with the outcome. Well, I thought she looked amazing in all of the photos selected! Job well done to the glam squad! Here's a few other shots and some behind the scenes shots.

Tokyo Fun!

A couple of months ago I accompanied Jennifer Hudson to Tokyo for the second time around and although I didn't have much free time...I made the most of it! I ventured out to Shibuya and hit up the drug stores in the area to see what I could find. Now I couldn't leave Tokyo without purchasing a few beauty items. I picked up some sponges in varies shapes, blotting tissues etc. Here's a couple of shots...

Tia's Favorite Scrubs!

Hi Beauties! I wanted to share some of my go-to scrubs to keep my skin looking and feeling its best! Here's a snap shot of my favorites!

Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub- I love this body scrub for more reasons than one. It contains crushed grape seeds, brown sugar, pure honey and 6 essential oils. Works great all year around.

OLAY Body Thermal Pedicure- Perfect for those "in between pedicure moments" when you need a quick fix or just for everyday maintenance. It's a self-heating exfoliate that soothes and transforms your feet and it's ok to use daily.

Softlips Lip Polish- 100% Natural lip polish is loaded with organic coconut flakes and sugar to deeply moisturize and hey it's super affordable.

The Lip Scrub by Sara Happ- It eliminates dry flaky skin to leave lips super soft and supple. Oh, and my favorite scent is peppermint...yum!

PCA Purifying Mask- Gently exfoliates, detoxifies and removes impurities leaving skin smooth and bright. I just love the results I get after using this facial scrub.

Four Beauty Secrets Using Honey

Honey is known as nature's nectar. It's most commonly used to sweeten teas and pastries. However, honey can be used to in several ways to help your skin look and feel beautiful!

Ance
Besides being sweet honey also has antimicrobial properties. Apply a small amount to an acne outbreak to get rid of the bacteria and heal the skin.

Mask
Pure honey can be used as a mask. Apply a teaspoon of honey to your entire face and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Once the honey is dry, proceed to rinse your face thoroughly with warm water. Your skin will be soft and glowing!

Skin Toner
Add 1 tablespoon of honey and a peeled and cored apple to a blender. Pulse mixture until the consistency is smooth. Apply mixture liberally to the face. Allow to sit for 15 minutes. Gently remove with warm water and follow with a face moisturizer.

Dark Under Eye Circles
Mix equal parts of almond oil and honey in a container and gently apply to your dark circles before bed. Wash face as usual in the morning. This mixture works to lighten dark circles and nourish skin naturally.

Ask Tia Tuesday

This weeks Ask Tia Tuesday question is from Brittany M. Brittany asks:

I love playing in makeup! I've had my cheap brushes for a while and I think I'm ready to invest in some expensive ones so my makeup will look flawless like JHUD's.  Is there a particular  brand that you suggest I purchase?

Hi Brittany! Thanks for your question! Makeup brushes are a great investment, but you don't necessarily have to purchase the most "expensive" set or brand. I use brushes from different brands such as MAC, Sonia Kashuk and even some ELF Cosmetics brushes. Contrary to popular belief, creating a flawless face is not a direct result of using an expensive makeup brush. The key to a flawless face is more about your technique.
