Ask Tia Tuesday

This Tuesday's Ask Tia question comes from Treneshia F. Treneshia says:

"I have a problem with black marks, dry areas, and "blah" facial skin! What products can I use to clear & brighten my skin? Or would microdermabrasion work as well?"

There could be a number of reasons why you are experiencing dry skin. I would highly suggest keeping your skin thoroughly hydrated by drinking more H2O and by incorporating a moisturizer twice a day. Let me also suggest using a facial scrub once a week to brighten, clarify and to remove dull, dry skin to reveal a more lustrous silky smooth texture. I'm a huge advocate for microdermabrasion however, I only get the treatment once a year. Please do your research and contact a skincare specialist with all of your questions/concerns before you get microdermabrasion. Ambi also has a great fade cream that can be found at your local drugstore. Wish your skin well!!

If you have a beauty or skincare question you'd like me to answer, please send it to asktiatuesday@gmail.com and it just might be chosen for an upcoming post!

As an Esthetician I get so excited when I see posts dealing with skin care. I agree with Tia and I would also recommend that you use a good toner to help remove any product residue balance out your skin pH level and prepare your skin for the next treatment whether it is a mask serum or moisturizer. Microderm is is an amazing service to help remove dead skin cells even out the skin tone and give you a nice healthy glowand at the same time making your skin more product friendly allowing the products to work at the optimal level. So it is important that you find a skin care therapist not only to provide that service but to help you better understand your skin.
